Confirmed directly on Betfred's own android.betfred.co.za subdomain: the Android app is distributed as a direct APK download outside Google Play ("many of the best betting apps in South Africa are not currently available to get through the Play Store"), requiring the user to enable 'Unknown Sources'. Third-party sources additionally claim an iOS app is available by searching 'Betfred Casino' on the Apple App Store, but this iOS claim was not independently confirmed and may refer specifically to a casino-only app rather than the full sportsbook.

The licence number (9-2-1-00039) matches the figure already in the project's existing data and was corroborated again by a separate search-aggregated source (which also gave a company registration number 2000/008649/07 and an address of 345 Rivonia Road, Sandton), but I was not able to read the specific licence number directly on betfred.co.za's own footer (the root domain returned empty content to direct fetch) or on the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator's own site, so keeping status at claimed rather than documented for the number itself. The fact that the operator is 'a licensed betting operator' trading as Betfred South Africa was confirmed directly on android.betfred.co.za.
