Jackpot City is an online casino with no sportsbook attached, operating since 1998 under the Malta-registered Bayton Ltd and a Malta Gaming Authority licence. Its South Africa-facing site, jackpotcity.co.za, is run under a separate South African entity, Eastern Dawn Sports (Pty) Ltd, which holds a Mpumalanga Economic Regulator bookmaker licence; it appears to operate as a locally licensed skin alongside the globally known Malta-licensed jackpotcitycasino.com brand. It focuses on slots, table games and live dealer titles rather than sports betting.
Founded: 1998 (global brand).
Operating company: Bayton Ltd, registered in Malta (Villa Seminia, 8 Sir Temi Zammit Avenue, Ta' Xbiex), commonly described as part of a family of sister online casinos (Ruby Fortune, Spin Palace, Gaming Club, and others) sometimes referred to collectively as 'Casino Rewards'; this group-naming was not independently confirmed on an official page, only via multiple third-party casino-review sites.
Status: Claimed (sourced, not independently confirmed). Bonus offers change often and must be confirmed on the operator's own terms page before claiming, last checked 2026-08-24.
Table games not yet catalogued.

Deposit and withdrawal options for Jackpot City are not yet verified. See our South African payment methods guide for how each rail generally works.
A mobile app is available. The site works on mobile browsers. App download links present for Apple, Android, Huawei AppGallery on the homepage. Source: https://www.jackpotcity.co.za/, checked 2026-08-24. (Supersedes earlier note questioning whether an Android/Google Play listing was plausible; this pass found Android app links directly on-site, though not necessarily via Google Play specifically.)
Live chat reported as available roughly 08:00-17:00 via the app; no phone number found; email support mentioned generically but no address confirmed.
CORRECTION to earlier research: a direct read of jackpotcity.co.za's own Terms and Conditions on 2026-08-24 found: "Eastern Dawn Sports (Pty) Ltd (2021/915692/07) powering Jackpot City is licensed and regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, Bookmaker License Number: 9-2-1-09658 first Issued on 25 April 2023." This directly confirms the SA-facing domain DOES carry a South African bookmaker licence; the earlier assessment (which called a similar third-party claim 'unreliable' and inconsistent with a casino-only framing) is superseded by this primary-source read. It's plausible jackpotcity.co.za operates as a locally-licensed skin/white-label alongside the globally-known Malta-licensed jackpotcitycasino.com brand (Bayton Ltd, MGA/B2C/145/2007); this covers sports betting under SA's licensing regime; South Africa has no separate remote casino games licence category, so the casino-style games themselves still sit in the same regulatory grey area as the rest of the industry (see /casino-methodology/).
Licence number: Mpumalanga Economic Regulator Bookmaker Licence 9-2-1-09658, first issued 25 April 2023 (SA entity); separately, MGA/B2C/145/2007 for the global jackpotcitycasino.com operation under Bayton Ltd. Offshore licensing authority: Malta Gaming Authority
