Wazdan makes its Finnish debut with three slots at state operator Veikkaus
Slot studio Wazdan has entered Finland through a deal with state-owned operator Veikkaus. Three games go live first, delivered through Light & Wonder's aggregation platform, with more titles to follow.
Wazdan games already reach South African players through local operators, so a studio's regulated-market expansion is worth noting. Finland is a tightly regulated market, and a studio choosing the incumbent state operator as its first partner says something about how providers approach new jurisdictions. It says nothing about the RTP or availability of Wazdan slots on any particular South African site, which we cannot verify here.
What happened
Wazdan has made its debut in Finland through a partnership with Veikkaus, the country's state-owned gambling operator. The integration runs through Light & Wonder's aggregation platform. The story was reported by iGaming Business on 4 November 2026 and is based on statements from both companies.
The games
Three titles launch first: Hot Slot: 777 Platinum Crown, Hot Slot: 777 Gold Crown and Mighty Hot: 777. A longer list is planned to follow, including Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Mighty Crown: Legacy of Mars, Magic Fruits Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Cash Out, Magic Fruits 4 Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Coins and Valhalla, plus further releases from the studio's library.
Why Veikkaus
Wazdan's commercial director said Finland matters to the studio and that it wanted the most established name in the market as a partner. Veikkaus is a state-owned operator. Finland is preparing to allow private online licences from 1 July 2027, which is the backdrop to many supplier moves in that market.
What it means for South African players
This does not change anything for players here. Wazdan has been in the South African conversation before through a separate distribution deal, which we covered earlier. Game availability, return-to-player settings and bonus rules vary by site, so check the casino's own game information and our review pages instead of assuming one version fits all.
What to watch next
Watch for the second wave of Wazdan titles at Veikkaus and for whether the studio signs private operators once Finland's wider licensing begins in 2027.
