Springbok Casino is a casino-only site built for South African players, priced in rand and powered by Realtime Gaming (RTG). The welcome package is generous on paper, with up to R11,500 across three deposits, but the terms are strict: a R25,000 weekly withdrawal limit, a 30x wagering requirement and several rules on the site that contradict each other. It is not licensed in South Africa and we could not find a licence number on the pages we read.

Everything on this page was read on Springbok Casino's own website on 9 October 2026, including its banking, promotions, support, responsible gaming and terms pages (version 1.6, effective 4 March 2026). We have not opened an account, deposited or withdrawn, so we cannot tell you how fast payouts arrive in practice.
Springbok Casino is an online casino with a South African theme running through its design and blog: sharks, the Big Five, wine routes and a rand-only cashier. It is a casino-only brand, so you will not find a sportsbook to bet on here. The site tells us it has been serving players since 2012 and that its game library comes from one supplier, Realtime Gaming, usually shortened to RTG.
That single-supplier set-up shapes everything about the experience. RTG has a loyal following and some well-known progressive jackpots, but it does not have the breadth you get from a lobby stocked with a dozen studios. If you want the latest releases from Pragmatic Play, Evolution or Play'n GO, you will not find them here. If you like classic RTG slots, you will feel at home.
On the home page Springbok says it offers more than 300 online casino games, with roughly 150 available on mobile. We treat those as the casino's own figures, because the site does not show a full game list to people who have not logged in.
The headline offer is a three-deposit welcome package worth up to R11,500. It is split into two coupon codes that you enter in the cashier's Redeem Coupon section before you deposit, because Springbok says a coupon cannot be added after the fact.
| Offer | Code | What you get | Notes from the site |
|---|---|---|---|
| First deposit | SPRINGBOK100 | 100% match up to R1,500 | One use per account |
| Second and third deposits | SPRINGBOK50 | 50% match up to R5,000 each time | The code can be used twice |
| Any deposit | SPRINGBOK300 | 300% match up to R9,000 | A R200 deposit gives R800 to play with |
| Test offer | TEST-SPRINGBOK | R250 bonus with no deposit | Payout cap stated inconsistently (see below) |
| Lucky 7 | Sent by email | 100% up to R777 | Limited to 77 players on the 7th of each month |
| Cashback | Ask support | 25% back on deposits | Minimum R250, maximum R3,000, 10x playthrough |
The numbers add up as advertised: R1,500 plus two lots of R5,000 comes to R11,500. The catch is in the small print, so here is what the terms actually say.
Deposit bonus coupons carry a wagering requirement of 30 times the deposit plus the bonus, unless a promotion says otherwise. Put another way, a R1,000 deposit with a R1,000 bonus means R60,000 of bets before the bonus money can be withdrawn. No-deposit coupons are tougher at 60 times the bonus, and winnings from them are capped at five times the bonus amount.
Not every game counts toward wagering. The terms list slots, bingo, keno, scratch cards, 7 Stud Poker, European Slot Poker and Pai Gow Poker as eligible. The terms also warn that placing bets on excluded games before you finish wagering voids the bonus and any winnings. Check the promotion page before you play blackjack or roulette with bonus funds.
The terms say bonus redemption is limited to players from South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland (now Eswatini), Lesotho and Mozambique, and only one bonus is allowed per account, household or shared computer.
The cashback offer is worth a closer look if you play without a deposit bonus. You claim it through support, your balance must be between R0 and R10 when you do, and it covers busted deposits from the previous 90 days. It cannot be combined with a deposit bonus.
We found several places where Springbok's own pages disagree with each other. None of this is unusual for an older site, but you should know about it before you claim anything.
The R250 TEST-SPRINGBOK offer is the clearest example. The promotions page says the maximum payout is R1,250, which matches the general rule in the terms (five times the bonus). The slots page and the no-deposit page both say the maximum payout is R500. Ask support which figure applies before you rely on either.
The no-deposit page also describes a "Quickie Boost" at 250% up to R5,000 and repeats the same R500 payout note under it, which does not make obvious sense for a deposit match. We could not find the Quickie Boost on the main promotions page.
The terms separately say balances can be voided on accounts with no login for six months and on accounts marked dormant after 12 months of no activity. Those are two different timeframes for what looks like the same rule. The safest reading is the shorter one.
Everything runs on RTG. Slots are the biggest part of the lobby, from three-reel classics such as Double Ya Luck, The Three Stooges II and Jumping Beans to five and six-reel video slots like Bubble Bubble, Naughty or Nice, Cleopatra's Gold and Achilles. The site also names progressive jackpot slots Aztec's Millions, Jackpot Pinatas and Megasaur. On the day we checked, the home page jackpot counter showed a figure above R50 million, though that number moves constantly.
Table games are better covered than you might expect. The blackjack list on the site includes Classic, European, Perfect Pairs, Face Up 21, Pontoon, Match Play 21, Suit'Em Up and Super 21. Poker-style games include Caribbean Draw, Caribbean Hold'em, Caribbean Stud, Texas Hold'em, Tri Card Poker and Pai Gow. Roulette comes in French, European, American and multiplayer versions, and there is a baccarat page too. RTG's own page on the site says its video poker range runs past 50 games. The home page also lists bingo, keno and scratch cards.
We did not find a live dealer section on any page we read, so treat Springbok as an RNG-only casino unless you see otherwise after logging in. Crash games are not mentioned either.
The slot tournaments and freerolls are worth knowing about, with one limit: the site says they are only available in the download casino, not in instant play.
Springbok plays in South African rand only, and the banking page lists six methods. The minimums and timings below are as published by the casino.
| Method | Minimum deposit | Minimum withdrawal | Withdrawal time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard | R150 | Not listed | Not listed |
| BetterEFT | R51 | Not listed | 48 to 72 hours |
| InstantEFT | R71 | Not listed | 48 to 72 hours |
| Payz (e-wallet) | R10 | R500 | 48 to 72 hours |
| Bitcoin | R250 | R500 | 48 to 72 hours |
| Wire transfer | Not listed | R500 | Up to 2 business days |
Deposits are instant on every method that lists a deposit time. The footer also shows Discover, Diners Club and EasyEFT logos, but those are not on the banking page, so we would not count on them.
The rules around cashing out matter more than the menu of methods. Under the terms you must wager each deposit at least once before a withdrawal is accepted, and withdrawals normally go back to the method you deposited with. The weekly maximum withdrawal is R25,000, and the casino can change that figure. For a player who hits a large win, that cap is the most important number on the site: a large win could take several weeks to come out in full.
Before your first withdrawal you will need to verify your account with ID, proof of address and proof of your deposit method. If you do not supply the documents within four weeks, the terms allow Springbok to lock the account and void pending withdrawals and winnings. Do the verification early rather than leaving it until you want to cash out.
You can play three ways: in a browser through Instant Play, in a downloadable desktop client, or on a phone. The mobile page says the site works on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows devices through the browser, and that a dedicated Android app has been available since 2018. We found no iOS app, so iPhone users play through Safari or another browser.
The site makes the point that you do not need to install anything on a phone because the games run in Instant Play. That suits people who are short on storage. The trade-off is that the site says slot tournaments are only available in the download casino.
The support page says help is available around the clock. There is a 24/7 live chat, email support and a phone line: a South African toll-free number, 0800 983 080, and an international number listed as 1 678 349 0095. The page also offers a schedule-a-call option.
The terms add detail on complaints. If the first reply from support does not settle things, you can request a complaint form and email it back. The casino says it will acknowledge a complaint within a week and aims to resolve most issues within four weeks, or within five working days for responsible gambling complaints. The footer also links to a "File Player Dispute" page on centraldisputesystem.com.
One thing to be aware of: the dispute section of the terms says concerns about game results or account activity must be sent in writing within one hour of the incident, while the complaints section allows six months. The two do not match, so raise any problem with support as soon as it happens.
No online casino holds a South African licence for remote casino games under the National Gambling Act, and Springbok is no exception. It is an offshore site that accepts South African players, which is not the same as being licensed here. See our casino methodology page for how we treat this across every review.
On licensing detail, we have to be straightforward: the pages we read do not show a licence number or name an operating company. The only regulator mentioned is the CuraƧao Gaming Authority, in the terms section on player complaints, and that section states the authority does not settle individual disputes. An earlier version of the site named Quadgreen N.V. of CuraƧao as the owner, but the About page carrying that wording now returns a not found error, so we cannot confirm it today.
In practice this means you have less recourse than at a South African licensed bookmaker if something goes wrong. Keep your deposits modest, complete verification early, and keep copies of your transaction history, which the terms themselves recommend.
Springbok's responsible gaming page lists two tools. You can ask the casino to self-exclude you for a period of your choice, starting from one month, and you can ask for daily or monthly deposit limits. Both are arranged by contacting the casino, not through settings in your account, as far as the page describes. We found no mention of reality checks, session timers or loss limits.
The page directs anyone with a gambling problem to the National Gambling Programme. The National Responsible Gambling Programme helpline is 0800 006 008, free and open 24 hours. One odd line on the home page advises players to "always bet the maximum on a progressive game". That is how many progressives are structured to qualify for the top prize, but it is not responsible gambling advice, and you should only stake what you can afford to lose.
Springbok Casino suits a player who already likes RTG slots, wants to deposit in rand by EFT and understands that bonus money comes with real strings attached. The welcome package looks large, but the combination of 30x wagering, restricted game contributions and a R25,000 weekly payout cap means it works better as extra playing time than as a route to cashing out. The inconsistent bonus pages and the missing licence details are the bigger reasons for care. If you try it, start with a small deposit, finish ID verification straight away and read the promotion terms for the specific coupon you plan to use.
